Ah, really? Maybe it's a good thing I dropped CG, then. I wanted to make my own ideas and projects and whatnot. What programs do you use in there? I might do some CG art of my own in my free time next year, so I might ask for some software for Crimmas presents :D
And, ah, the joys of dating. I'm not really the authority on that, so I'll just go lurk in this corner over here.
We mostly use Illustrator, though occasionally we use Photoshop, Flash, or Imageready. Unless you can find somewhere to buy a student copy, you'll probably have to bootleg the program (sadly). It's VERY expensive.
