OK, so this one I blame on
sequinedfairy. This is a proper drabble. Like, exactly 100 words. I used to be so good at these, but this was hard.
Anyway, now I have to either a) do homework b) wrestle my Merlin/Doctor Horrible prompt to the ground, or c) read more Barney/Robin. I think you guys know what my priorities are. ;)
Title: Penguin
Fandom: Merlin
Characters: ensemble (Arthur, Morgana, Gwen, Merlin)
Rating: PG
Wordcount: exactly 100
Warning: mild language
Summary: A penguin shows up unexpectedly in Morgana's bedchambers.
“What the hell are we going to do with it?” asks Arthur. It’s a strange bird - it just showed up in Morgana’s chambers without any type of warning. It’s like nothing he’s ever seen. Black and white, with no cruel beak or talons. It’s streamlined like a fish.
“Should we try and feed it?” says Morgana.
“I don’t know -- it looks ill,” says Gwen. And it did. As far as you could tell with a bird like that, anyway. Maybe Albion was too cold for it?
Meanwhile, halfway across the castle, Merlin wonders why his “summon pen” spell didn’t work.
