I have massive insomnia as well. I feel your pain. People like to say they have insomnia, but few really understand.

Oh man...I wish you didn't have that too. It sucks.
What scares me is the side effects I get and the ones I will get later in life.

im in the same boat at the moment...since the last night shifts i did at work, i havent been able to sleep at night early at all...and like you i feel like its such a waste of time but i do enjoy it if i get a good rest these days as i have grown older...unfortunately theres no real cure for it... have u tried sleeping pills??? when i was a teenager, i used to get it really bad...i "cured" it by starting to work out 3times a day so by 10pm my body was so goddam tired i would just fall asleep...and the next day i would get up at 5am and go for a jog...eventually i would manage to sleep the latest by midnight...gd luck

:(
I can't take sleeping pills...I mean the only drugs I would take are things like aspirin and maybe antibiotics (which I also avoid). Things like sleeping pills scare me. I thought about exercising but if I do that I will have to start slow because my system is down from lack of sleep. I've tried it in the past and after a few days of exercise I would get ill due to my weakened immune system...I guess it's all a matter of balancing things out...

I have to take sleeping pills or I cannot sleep. It started two months ago. All the stress I suppose. It does not always work either, some nights I stay up anyway. I am hoping once I move in two weeks that the jetlag will knock things right.

I hope you get some good sleep soon.

I really don't want to take sleeping pills... :(

I hope so too...and I hope that you get over that soon. Perhaps you living with 2 other people might be helpful somehow...in the sense that you have to force yourself to have a steadier schedule...

ferrelux is retired at the moment and bangkokrobot does not go to school until April-- so everyone is somewhat on my schedule (stay up late, go to bed late, wake up late). It does not really help. :(

I also have a problem in that if I get up before 9 am I get very sick physically, even if I go to bed at 8 pm o.O

I think I broke my brain.

In other words you are the bad influence? :P

Do you have an explanation for that? The before 9 am?

I think my brain was given to me broken. :D

well... you should stop taking drugs XD- just kidding.

well, i take halcion sleeping pills when going to bed on weekends, usually i stay up until the early morning hours (or even longer), and then force my body to sleep with those because i think im gonna die if i wouldnt do that.
if those are able to strike down a completely high person they should be able to get you some rest as well... psychopax-drops work nice too.
i know that this isnt a solution for the whole problem but times like this come and go. this doesnt necessarily mean that something is wrong with you...
you dont have to be scared of sleep-supporting meds, it might actually help you to get some sleep.

if i exercise, which i do 3 times a week, im not tired at all, im always in high spirits and have a hard time getting some sleep afterwards... i mean it IS exhausting and all, but working out animates my mind, thats why i cant sleep then.

hum.

Oh believe me...sometimes I wish I could take drugs but I can't.
Just the thought of maybe...just maybe losing total control freaks me out...
in other words I am a control freak...? hmm....not that anyone ever has total
control of anything but we like to think we do. ;P

Yes...I noticed that too with exercising. It gives me even more energy...
...I guess the lobotomy is my only hope... ;P

you cant because you fear to lose control? well there are many drugs around that would never make you lose your control, or do you mean the loss of control over consuming the actual drug- addiction?

"These procedures often result in major personality changes and possible mental retardation"
thats what i read about lobotomy in wikipedia! it sounds bad- are you really sure this is a good decision?

Both, actually. I am not saying that they would make me lose control for sure. It's just the feeling I have towards drugs...I'm trying to remember the English expression for something and I can't...you know when you convince yourself that you are gonna feel something and in the end you do feel it?.....?.....? how on earth is that called?....I can't remember.....

Well I haven't decided yet...I think that the scars from it might make me look cooler though...
and after watching a couple of movies with characters who had lobotomies...they looked so peaceful... :D
