Yup, House on DVD would be the spiffiest. The medical stuff is terribly squicky, wildly inaccurate, and totally beside the point. But the characters are usually pretty cool and the snark is always beyond brilliant. :)
And I think the Ducklings appellation is a fanon thing. I don't recall it ever being used on the show. TWoP calls them Cottages, but I prefer Ducklings.
Yeah, ducklings does sound better. It took me a while to get Cottages. Mini-Houses, how clever...
One of the most memorable lines/images that will always stick with me is a line from Hero and the Crown about Perlith trailing velvet-covered flunkeys in his wake like a child with a toy on a string.
Regarding Doctor Who (since we never got to dicuss it today)... I lost it when the Doctor sent Rose away and she was watching his message. Tears running lost right then. I got sniffly when she was telling Jackie about meeting her dad and then when Nine changed at the end but geez the part when he sent her away. Oy.
And Jack. Beautiful, beautiful Jack. From annoying to dear to my heart in five measley episodes. Oh dear, how I love you. Cannot WAIT for Torchwood and am so bummed he's not in series two - though he's supposedt to be in series three. :)
I agree Jack looked hurt at the end. In fact, them leaving him behind was one point I wasn't much thrilled with.
If you can get your hands on it (and in a place you can watch it) there's a five minute or so long clip that picks up where the finale left off. It explains more the transformation and shows Rose doing a classic "WTF who are you?" reaction to Ten.
Ten, however, I'm still not sold on. I like Nine, darn it. *sniffle*

Out of curiousity, was it the show that came up with calling them the Ducklings, or is it a fanon thing?

Thus, Ducklings.
