Picture Book Monday: 999 Tadpoles, Angelina Ballerina, & Paul Meets Bernadette

Picture books, picture books! The most thought-provoking one I read today was Ken Kimura's 999 Tadpoles, not so much for the content, but because it was originally published in Japanese and translated into English later. Oh my goodness. The art on that Paul Meets Bernadette cover is ASTONISHINGLY BEAUTIFUL.

I remember the Angelina books from when my daughters were little--yes, whole worlds of detail. The other one, about imaginative Bernadette, sounds really sweet.

Go go go Nano word count! (I haven't yet answered your email question about the creature from the ocean above--will so so later tonight... which makes it sound like I've got some huge reply planned, but not really!)

Somehow I missed out on the Angelina books, even though they must have been all the rage at the time. Oh well.
