Hahaha, more museums ought to do that: put all the popular things that they think people want to see in one room, and then have the other rooms less crowded.

…. though, yeah, I know: that wouldn't do justice to those artworks, some of which are actually nice and don't deserve jumble-sale treatment.

And wow, Ripping Yarns sounds like the perfect bookstore for you, and yet I can easily imagine how you'd end up overwhelmed by the choices. Maybe you'll go back?

Yes, I think it would work best in a mid-size museum. A really huge and popular museum would just end up crushing tons of people into one room so no one could enjoy anything.

I may! Today is my last day in England, so I'll have to decide sharpish. But it is close to a nice park, so that would be fun.

And unlike Dante Gabriel, you don't have to go to a museum to see her stuff! You can carry her poems around in a pocket.

Is Tate Modern the museum with The Lady of Shalott? That painting is gorgeous in person.

Yes! It is gorgeous and HUGE. The really big paintings are always somewhat startling to see in person, because they're so much bigger than I imagined.
