I think the makers of Get Smart intended Steve Carrell to seem charmingly awkward rather than totally obnoxious, but, uh, they missed. And why are he and Anne Hathaway together at the end? My main grip with Get Smart -- from before I even saw it -- was that there's yet another scene of "oh, men kissing! FUNNY!"

Bruce & Lloyd is where it's at.

By the time we got to that scene I was so over the whole movie that I was just like, "Yet another reason for me to be disappointed? Really? Did you not feel that you had already given me enough?"

Who are Bruce and Lloyd?

It was in the previews, so I was waiting for it & waiting for it, hoping I'd be wrong. (I was also disappointed that they decided to make The Rock's character a bad guy, because it's so much more unique & interesting to have a guy be nice to someone who's considered a dork by everyone else simply because he is a nice guy.)

Yeah, I was disappointed about that too. It just seemed so random that he was the bad guy! I do not see how being nice to Max fit into his evil plans, anyway.

Working on it! It's taking place over the course of a school year, and right now I'm halfway through March, so I'm chugging right along.
