It does make sense to do more adventurous things if you have this nagging feeling that you aren't enjoying life as much as you could be and that adventure is what would help. I'm personally not too concerned about an extremely painful death, though; if I had some disease where that was my inevitable end, I'd probably massively overdose on insulin or something when the time came.

I think about this, more often in the context of overseas travel, career experimentation, or even an adventurous sex life. Thanks for continuing to write. I miss the way LiveJournal allowed us to share thoughts of this order. I've never quite filled that space in my life.
