To anyone who does believe in Father Christmas, for anyone who was told he isn't real, or that there's no point in wishing for something for the holiday, I thought you should know, you've every right and reason to believe in him.
That out of the way, to anyone who told Lucy that he's not real--not just in your world, but at all-- especially those

He waits complacently, his breath fanning out before his face until he hears footsteps approaching]
Caspian?

[Greeting him as he steps out of the house, sword also buckled to his side, under a nice long coat because it is cold and this Telmarine, who has seen snow before thank you, is still not quite as accustomed to it as the others.]

Should we go, then?
[He gestures to the forest out back, vaguely.]

[Where is that blond brat anyway? Not that Caspian minds, going their own ways now and then. In any case he walks along with Edmund, snow crunching under foot. He has his game boots on, just saying.]

[Ed shoves his perpetually cold hands into his pockets, glancing back at Caspian and at the forest, but not too obviously. He's the master of subtlety, after all. Edmund stops, pretending to take in his surroundings.]
I think this is far out enough.
[Peter's out here. Somewhere.]
Reply
[A quip at the High King's expense. Now that they're far out enough he turns to face Edmund. Color Caspian completely oblivious.]
I hope you remember quickly, and I don't think you would have me go easy on you anyway.

And then there's Peter ducking back behind that tree he was waiting near, trying very hard not to laugh and waving at Edmund to go to the one diagonally across. There should be a pile of snowballs there as well. Prepared, yes.]

You--
[SPLUT. Et tu, Edmund?! Time for a dive and roll, in the snow, sob. He's scrambling for refuge, somewhere, pathetically.]

Stop, for a second anyway...that's what he mouths at Edmund. Stepping out into view so that Caspian can see what tree he's been hiding behind, Peter then ducks back around it and doubles back toward the tree Edmund stands watch at, beginning to make more for their arsenal.
If Caspian runs over to where Peter was, most of his store is still there, and that's a bit fairer isn't it? Ammunition provided...never mind the two on one bit...this is an ambush.
A slightly less no-mercy one than planned too, at that. Sigh. Peter shoots Edmund a look: yeah, yeah I know.]
Hold on, just another moment.
[And he watches for Caspian to either come out with the equivalent to a white flag or, fight back. Hopefully it's the latter, though they did catch the Telmarine entirely unawares.]

I see you've decided to be chivalrous. [Ed remarks, a cheeky smile on his face as he waits, crouched with his brother behind the tree
Here's hoping that the Telmarine fights back]

Two against one? Really?
[He's doing something back here, make no mistake.]

Still behind the tree, crouched and watching carefully with the Just, the blond rolls his eyes as they wait....and then he looks over.
Back to it then?
He doesn't think he has to say anything for Edmund to get his meaning.]

He gives a nod that definitely states yes, back to it. And no mercy this time.
Although, to be fair, Ed creeps out of his hiding place first, to make Caspian feel as though he has a chance
He doesn't.]

Remember, you started this.
[He comes out of hiding in a bold and brazen manner, coatless because that handsome article is now bundled in his arm, carrying several snowballs for ammunition on the go. Have one, have two, have three as he moves along, ready to overtake your station.]

Anyway, he gathers his own armful of ammo, leaving only two or three behind. Maybe Edmund will double back for them more quickly than Caspian can reach them. Then, going back around the opposite way, intention of not being seen or just being too fast dodging behind trees, he throws his own shots, one at the Telmarine's shoulder, and one that aims for just his direction in general...could be his back or his head...something. All this, as he calls out to Caspian, smiling slightly.]
But who's going to end it?
