After lingering outside of the classroom door for a moment to let out a vicious cough, Hayate walked just inside the doorframe and lean casually against the wall. He figured now was a good time to step in and see the brand new teacher work: observing others was one of the best ways to learn (though he hated to admit that his classroom demeanor wasn't exactly the best) and Iruka seemed like one of the friendliest around. And once he heard the assignment, Hayate had to smile to himself and wonder, only briefly, if this was a reaction against the recent events. However, like Iruka, he pushed that out of his head, waiting until the students had settled down before he went up to the teacher.

"Mm, this is an excellent assignment," he offered a compliment as he flipped through booklet, lingering on the coffee page for a moment to chuckle and nod.

"A-ah, thank you." Iruka smiled at the other teacher. "It's actually a little task, so i can check the students' talents, and their attitude toward arts." he looked at the working class, smiling calmly.
"By the way, how is that album, you'll arrange going? Will have some great pictures in it?" he asked then.

As usual, Shino had no questions; he merely took out his color pencils and did as he was told.

Things that make people happy... Hopefully, they'd have more challenging assignments soon.

His head was slightly bent over his desk as he sketched out his first page - a rifleman about to shoot a deer.

Iruka calmly walked around, checking on the students' works, when he spotted Shino's sketch.

"Ah, this is interesting!" he stopped, eyeing it. "The concept a bit sad though." he added smiling.

Shino pressed his brown pencil into a long, curved stroke for the stag's back. "The concept is true," he replied quietly.

"I never denied that." Iruka chuckled lightly. "But it still sad, that killing or hurting something, makes others happy." he sighed, still smiling.
