Who? Actually...just Sai - aaand somehow this has turned into an action log, so say Hi to Kabuto too.
What? Sai totally needs to give his boyfriend lover person-who-he-is-screwing-pretty-much-exclusively-and-does-not-find-too-moronic-but-that-he-is-totally-not-attracted-to-in-any-way-other-than-physically-at-all his birthday present, and a little

When he got there, no one was at the door, and he stepped out to look around, stumbling onto the paper bag, but not kicking it over. He bent down, and picked it up, curiously. He looked up and down the hall, whoever had left this was long gone.
Stepping back inside, and heading to his couch, he looked inside the bag, pulling out note and decorated case. Reading the note, he was surprised. He knew that handwriting, and there was only one person he knew who could do this. Who. . . would, it would seem.
He knew that Sai must be on his way to the bus stop, but. . . he got up, and sent a message to Sai's phone.
'Made too much food. Come over?'

Too much food? Ah, well, the bus wouldn't be here for another twenty minutes anyway. His fingers typed in a quick response ('Sure. In the neighbourhood anyway.') before leaving the bus stop, stubbing the cigarette out after smoking it to the filter.
He made it up to Kabuto's apartment in little time (rushing? Never), opening the door without knocking.

He met Sai at the door, and wordlessly pushed it shut. For a moment, it was as if he was searching for some words, and he wouldn't (couldn't?) reach his eyes. When Kabuto did look at Sai, straight into his eyes, there were no words that could be spoken.
So instead of words, actions told what he was thinking (feeling?), and he kissed Sai, gently (because he knew Sai was still sore in places) but firmly, solidly. His tongue licked gently at Sai's lips, before sliding into his mouth.

The gentle kiss was just as much of a surprise and Sai's lips parted with ease and no coaxing, tongue pressing against Kabuto's with a small amount of fire (it seemed to only exist in their kisses... He couldn't - wouldn't? - understand why).
His hands rested on Kabuto's chest, eyes closed as soon as he got over the surprise of the sudden gentle kiss, his fingers curling slightly to cling to the fabric of Kabuto's shirt.
