Every once in a while, I see something that at least hints that international compassion isn't completely dead. Even if it's sometimes a bit slow, or misses the most needy.
I remember when New Orleans was flooded we allowed Mexican army relief units in to the country to help out. It was sort of a public shame that we needed to ask for help, though I do remember thinking that thank god they would still send our citizens help after all of the hate mongering our high level politicians do against Mexico.
