That was MANPAIN you could really wallow in. I just love chronic, flaring pain. And awesomebigbrother!Dean. He was especially awesome in this. I really loved the scene with Jess, too. The awkwardness. And how Sam doesn't really expect or hope for or want comfort from Jess or Ruby, because it is comfort only AWESOME BIG BROTHER!Dean can provide.

And this: He hears her whisper, “I wish I knew how to love you more,” into his ear before he slips under. But that's likely just the drugs.

OH, THE IMPLICATIONS!!! Just lovely.

And yay manly massage. I just know they went home afterwards and had wild marathon sex... that's what you were implying, right? :P

Funny you should mention the Dean voice, because writing this from Sam's POV was the hardest thing ever. I so much prefer to write from inside Dean's head. But you saying my Dean had a good voice through my Sam POV? That is an awesome compliment, right there.

I LOVED the Ruby snippet a lot. So much different pain tangled up in that one, not just his physical pain -- really powerful and gripping stuff.
