Norman flickers back into one of his homes, Elizabeta in his arms. He pushes away from the computer, and stands -- out of the study and into the hall, carrying her to the nearest bedroom.
Elizabeta stays pressed against him, looking around with wide eyes. "You live here?" She is used to a very small, neat farmhouse, so this place was like nothing she'd ever been in. "It's so...big."
"Some of the time, I do. I have a lot of homes, and I tend to go between them." He keeps going down the hall, past door after door after door, gesturing to a passing servant to get things prepared for a tiny, long-term guest.
She tried to count the doors, but her eyes kept closing on her so she turned her face into his shoulder. She sighed softly, starting to drift off now that she felt safe.
Eventually, they arrive. He nudges open the door with his foot, and slips inside the room with her. "Hey, now. Here we go... bedtime, now." He tugs down the covers awkwardly, and sets her on the bed -- a large, cozy down-comforter affair. "You can sleep here for now -- and if you need me, any time during the night, just call. Alright?"
A little girl, named Elizabeta. *crouches down* Her parents were killed by a vampire... and then she was turned into one herself, and left in the Nexus. I've decided to take care of her, at least until I can find her somewhere better to stay. Once she's feeling better, you can meet her -- I think you two would get along.
