is everyone surviving the heat spike?

I ended up driving my parents to Connecticut today -- Torrington? if anyone is familiar with CT? -- about 100 miles away from NYC, so a 2-hour drive. Luckily, the car's air-conditioning is working perfectly. Lol, um, the weather is going to want to make you die for about the next week, hope that's okay.... It's not totally over here, but at least it's COOLER and the heat index is ONLY supposed to be 99 today.

So it's 100 (feels like 109) here today. I went out for an hour to do some grocery shopping and it wasn't horrible, though knowing that the supermarket would be air-conditioned was a good motivator. I'm basically sitting in front of the fan today and doing fine but NGL I'll be happy when the temperature drops again. Someone said it's supposed to rain this weekend? I hope the crazy weather breaks! Hope you're keeping cool~! =D
