okay, yes, I'm sold on dean and castiel now. (Season 5) EPISODE 18 IS NNNNNGGGGHHHHH. PLEASE GIVE ME FIC RECOMMENDATIONS NOW!!!!

*licks you*

ETA: I must be among a tiny minority who basically was not a big fan of the whole heaven/hell showdown; hated and raged over most of season 4; and although I liked Castiel, I was mostly uninterested and ( Read more... )

Muah-ha-ha! ::gleefully rubs palms together:: This is my second favorite pairing at the moment (I'm on a AIRPS kick right now). Here are a couple that I read over and over again:

Absolution and its sequel, Kin. Links are to the first parts of the stories. I suggest finishing s4 before reading these if you don't want to be spoiled. The two are supposedly the first parts of a trilogy, so it's technically a WIP. But its long and somewhat satisfying read.

All Souls and Angels series, link to the first part. I am a fan of the "curious Castiel" trope, and this story brings it like whoa.

More by misslucyjane = Beneath the Sheets of Paper. The beginning of another series. This one begins after 5.04, so if you haven't gotten there yet, avoidy! lest ye be spoiled.

And I Wake Up Blind, Like My Dreams Were Too Bright. What I found to be an interesting take on the premise of angelic possession as presented by the show. And, you know, there's slash.

Anything Worth Dying For. I actually think this might be my fave Dean/Castiel fic right now. It's ( ... )

LOL, I meant episode 18 of season 5 (which I just finished watching). Haha, I know I'm super late to join the bandwagon on the whole Dean/Castiel ship, but although I liked Castiel, I was pretty much indifferent toward the idea of Dean/Castiel until maybe a few eps before 5x18. I was really not a fan of season 4, or the whole heaven/hell showdown at all.

Come to think of it, it's a wonder I even finished watching the show... though I did definitely enjoy moments in the latter half of season 5.

*points*

In addition, read anything at all by entangled_now, trinityofone, tuesdayfic and starandrea (esp the "Sky" series.)

Also, I recommend rec_hymenated for all your Dean n' Cas needs. :D

Hahaha, actually I meant episode 18 of season 5. LOL, I know I'm super late to join the bandwagon on that particular ship, but although I liked Castiel, I was pretty much indifferent toward the idea of Dean/Castiel pretty much until maybe a few eps before 5x18. But yes! Please send me your Dean/Cas fic!!! I think once I stopped being angry at the plot (aka, there was finally an end in sight?)... it clicked for me?

\o/ LOL HIPPIE CAS WAS PRETTY HYSTERICAL!

What happened in ep 18 to change your mind? Is that the one where Dean tells Cas that when people look at him like that he tends to get lucky, after already having told Cas to blow him? Because that I get. ;P

Oh yeah, I really loved that. But actually it was 5x10 ("Abandon All Hope") that changed my mind about Dean/Cas. When Cas is following Crowley and says to Dean over the phone "...as we speak the deal is... going... down..." and on the other end, Dean looks at his phone and says "Okay, Huggy Bear..."

For some reason that just got me. I had to stop and rewind it and play it over a couple of times just because I was cracking up so much. I'm not sure why it wasn't til then that the dynamic of their relationship crossed (my particular) line from buddies into sexual. Like, it's not like I couldn't see why people shipped them before that, it just... didn't make sense (for me)? But then after that there were just so many moments that I could really see the connection between them. <3 ( ... )

lol it's not luck! that's how I watch shows. I don't have the patience for week by week. if I had to go back to watching that way I'd end up doing what I did before -- just stop watching tv shows completely.

supernatural was one of the first shows I started watching after not watching tv for close to 10 years! and it was because a friend gave me all of season 1 just after it ended.
