It seems I've been driving a lot as of late.

Yeah, it was so crappy! But I drive in NYC all the time -- I literally used to drive into the city to pick up my mom from work EVERY DAY at rush hour -- and I have NEVER had a problem like that! It was crazy!

It was wonderful to have you at wedding con! That is funny about the driving. Sometimes (well more than that) I want to be a passenger cause I drive all the time. If you learn stick, I'll let you drive!

It was great hanging out with you on Saturday!

Well, there are definitely times where I just want to be a passenger, or miss it if I'm the one driving all the time. But when it's balanced, I enjoy them just about equally.

I have wanted to learn to drive stick forever! I know a few people who know how and are willing to teach, but well, two of them don't drive sticks right now, and the other is way out in Sacramento! So I've heard that learning to drive stick invariably ruins the stick and thus the problem is getting someone to let you practice on their car. How did you learn?

It was out of necessity when I learned. I bought my first car from my dad and it was a stick and it was still in Maryland. In order to have it, I learned stick in four days and drove it from maryland to new jersey. So it was a big learning experience especially with tolls!

Sean has expressed interest in learning. Perhaps if we set up dates we can have a group lesson in a parking lot. Just a thought.
