Not so amusing: Liz is having knee surgery today. Turns out she did tear her ACL in that ski fall. The people at Bellevue said she hadn't torn her ACL, but to come back. She didn't go back. But then she went to another doctor last week. And they said her ACL is torn ( Read more... )

Yeah, they rushed it because the doctor said he's afraid if she waits it'll damage the cartilage, which is not repairable.

I will let her know! Thanks, I hope she recovers quickly too! I (theoretically) hate leg injuries most because they seem so debilitating! =(

Wow I'm really sorry to hear the ACL is torn. I hope she's able to make it to Spain, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

She had the surgery yesterday and was back home a few hours later. She's doing alright, but I know that it's going to be a long healing process.

Apparently, the doctor wanted to rush the surgery so that she had enough time to heal before the Spain study abroad. Which is pretty cool of him considering he can be an ass sometimes (he's my mom's doctor from her broken arm deal). So hopefully she'll be healed enough that it'll work out.
