This... this is one of the best fusions of Inception and Mysterious Skin that I have read in a long time. The characterizations were spot on, the writing itself was beautiful and the triggers were handled expertly well. Even the after effects, the way Neil has them locked away but becomes unable to deal with them until his personality splits, fits realistically into how a real person might react to those kinds of events and the ending to the entire thing wraps things up in a nice little bow without being too cliched about it. I'd make a PDF copy of this and keep it on my Nook to read whenever I have long trips if I could but I won't.

Wow! This fic is so, so, so incredible! I'm really happy I took a chance and read it even though I was scared to in the beginning because of the subject matter. I like that you kept the chapters short, it definitely made it easier to read because it didn't make it seem so overwhelming. I hadn't read any inception fics in a while and this has definitely made me realize how much I've missed this fandom. This was all kinds of sad and painful, but then there was Eames' unconditional love for Neil, and how Neil mustered the strength to face his demons that made me fall so hard for this fic. And your take on the way Arthur is actually Neil's second personality was very interesting. I would've never thought of something like that. Also, you made me cry a few times xD. Damn, I wish there was more! <3
