If we take the additive identity as {}, the multiplicative identity as {1}, define addition as vector addition, and define multiplication via the squid operator (see previous posts), we can define a field (actually, a schema that accomodates a countably infinite number number of fields ( Read more... )

Oh, I forgot to mention -- once a number is multiplied by it's multiplicative inverse, it would be of the form {R,R,R,R,...} -- but we can always rewrite this with just one being R and the rest being Z, it just requires solving a set of logarithm equations, and since the result is the identity, we know it to be {1}.
