Of course, Apple is releasing their new operating system today. Well, I'm glad you liked it. In the essay, I think I may have underestimated the fact that America became "the most powerful country in the world" because we had more missiles than anybody else...

I didn't just want to say IT SUCKS, YO!!, although I think that's probably the basic thesis statement. :p

CLAMP are good and evil at the same time. It's like Darth and Obi-wan together in a single body. I'm looking forward to the DVD covers, myself ;_;

Outside of CCS (which was written by ohkawa) I don't think there's a single Clamp anime I didn't hate with all my guts. I hated the X tv show with the power of thousand suns and The Clover clip i desperately want to see, I'm sure I will find a way to criticize it.

I mean because Clamp's art ? Not only It's not working when it's moving, but also because those chicks they pay attention to details as opposed as the television standard where the average pop corn eater (replace by choucroute in France, and okonomiyaki in Japan) had to be able to follow that damn show without hurting his brain.

Yeah, I think a wait is best. They don't always work out of the box, which is a little odd since they're SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE. AND STRIPED!

You're also totally right about CLAMP's art not working while moving. I think that if Kurogane and Faiye had been animated as CLAMP drew them in the manga, they'd look like two pairs of scissors walking around. Which might be a little distracting.

*And* right about the "average fan is a dumbass" thing. Especially in America, where the average fan really IS a dumbass. Plus, most Americans quit eating popcorn awhile ago, unless it's slathered in car grease and costs $20 a tub at the movie theater.

Also: I like it that you called him "Georges Lucas." He would definitely be a cooler person if he were French :p (Or at least not such a blatant plagiarizer of Tolkien novels...)

anyway, i'm glad you like the anime. y'know how the x anime ended with kamui saying that he still lived inside fuuma's heart so the world isn't going to be destroyed?

when sorata and arashi said that they owed yuuko a favor, i'm guessing that they came from the x world where kamui wasn't in fuuma's heart. yuuko saved them from that world. thus, the real ending of x.

i'm looking forward to the end of tsubasa...

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE END OF TSUBASA, TOO! I HOPE IT GETS PREMATURELY CANCELED AND THEN EXPLODES.

Also, I like that icon. He has nice geisha eyebrows, and I have always had warm feelings for manga characters in glasses.

No, it's called 'giving up.' Also, I saw your post on the screencapping and archiving of the Tsubasa anime, and if you do that, I would like the ask permission to affiliate with you. I'm only summarizing and screencapping the first 5 episodes, since I believe my obligation to the fandom via Fay extends only so far. But! If you are willing to put yourself through that misery, I see no reason why I cannot exploit your hard work for my own ends give the fans who visit BlueSkies an alternative site to view another perspective of the anime.

Unless you were being sarcastic. In that case: HAHAHA!!!

You are missing a key point, and that point is: Touya looked pretty good. But they cut his scenes along with everyone else's, damn them.

I liked the character voices, for the most part, and the final bit with the rain was fantastic. The rest... the rest I agree with. Your analysis is scathing but true, so the scathingness doesn't really need preamble or apology. The show gives really lousy head sucks, and that's not going to change for 26 episodes.

Now, if only the manga would give us some sugahhh one of these days, I'd feel a lot better about the whole fiasco.

Ha, I agree with you on every account, especially since:
1.) The seiyuu appear to be making the best of badly-written material, and
2.) It was through watching Touya obsessively that I noticed that the anime used those ancient old creaking character designs.

Also, I feel as though I have not spoken with you in seventeen years, which would be at least, what? Three-thirds my fault? Sniffle.

2a.) *I* was so thoroughly watching Touya I noticed exactly where Sakura puts her HAND when she's confronting him.

Notice how Fai's VA seems as if (s)he's on some separate track that's been, like TURNED DOWN IN VOLUME? I thought it was SAKURA who was supposed to act all stoned+sleepy, not Fai. CURSES.

I am never on AIM, that's my fault. But we will always have LJ. And the stuff I was supposed to mail you while we were young. make that a NOTE TO SELF.

I have hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of CLAMP merchandise and manga, so don't feel too bad. I'm actually glad I bought most of it, but... I don't get why the series had to blow goats. We CLAMP fans are not hard to please. Really. We give it up for a burger and fries.

I'm glad I didn't put you to sleep, actually. When I went back and re-read it, I wandered off halfway through. I am fond of dem dere adjectives, sho nuff.
