I'm the proud owner of a folding bike made in the GDR, now. Last week, I told someone from my Danish course the long story of how I never came to have a bike (here in Dresden), although I've been wanting one for years. lol I'm so late at catching up...

Leeds has a lot of bike lanes and is pretty bike-friendly imo. My friend who is currently living in Berlin, though, remarked that there aren't that many bikers here for a city that is fairly bike-friendly. idk. I don't bike, though, because...that's another thing I'd have to transport when I move, and I'm not quite sure I'd be able to uh, bike when I have 10kg of baggage. S: Yes, I'm afraid of falling over. 3:

It's really cool that you have a bike from the GDR, though! How does it get energy for the lamps - batteries?

I know what you mean. I've been postponing buying a bike for years because I thought 'What if I move in a few months?'.
To be frank, my bike's giving me a lot of trouble lately. I'm not sure I'm going to repair it another time just for it to fall apart in a different place...
Oh, it gets the energy from a bicycle dynamo.

(By the way: I received your letter last week.)
