My tummy no longer hurts. Now I am STARVING TO DEATH!! ;)

Richard is coming home on a post-training break before he gets shipped off to Afghanistan. Bleah. War, bleah. So he and Carla and the kids are going to stay here for Christmas. I'm going to New York for the first time this week. I was hesitant about the trip at first (just feeling cautious), but now that I'm looking at what kinds of things I'd like to do and see there, I'm really excited.

And the truth of the matter is that I love it like this. I love being the calm place in the storm - taking the chaos and making it work.

Since my Grandmother died right before Thanksgiving, 5 other people I know have also lost a Grandmother. I still miss mine. She was sweet, and sensible, very very smart, fun to tease, and she loved us all like the world. I'm sure everyone else misses their's too.
