Great review and testimonial for BatteriesAndButter. I've not heard about this company previously, but I will say it is quite a catchy name. Leaves me pondering about how the came up with the "butter" part though. Do you know if they provide replacement batteries too?

The "and butter" bit is an old colloquialism, that predates me by a good margin, but I must have picked up among my older pals. It was commonly used in the same way "everything, including the kitchen sink" or "peas and carrots" might still be used for some folks. Recognizing their name's origin is one of a handful of instances where being a young fogey (less the fancy wardrobe) has helped out.

I have seen them with distinct replacement batteries for phones and laptops, but not as widely as folks who specialize in it. They feature the individual cells and components for assembling most batteries, though. eBay and DealExtreme can actually be a great resource for finding distinct batteries, cheaply. DealExtreme is cheap, but you do have to way about 2 weeks for stuff to ship from Hong Kong (but at least shipping is free).

It's always great when blog moderates actually respond like you did here to my replacement batteries question. Even better when that response is rich with content adding to the value of the entire post which you have also done exceptionally well. Thanks for the history lesson and the leads for places to find replacement batteries. I'll go get the butter... :)
