I’m working at a client site. Last week I had to ask the person who runs their testing team whether they test a particular feature before releasing their software.
The staffperson figured the best way to find out would be to do a text search on the files they use for testing. Nothing could be simpler, right?

Tomorrow, you can tell your heroine that there's no need to
find /path | grep foo
when she can
find /path -exec grep foo {} \;
:) This is as someone who DOES use windows search when it's easier. (or microsoft excel instead of "cut" and "paste")
There's also a difference between agnostic and religious but respectful and willing to come along for a ride every now and then. I think I'm the latter......I use Windows mostly for logging into unix boxes to do work. It's handy to have both so I can use the best tool for the job.
