Twenty Years of DargonZine

While the date is approximate, this is essentially the 20th anniversary of my founding of FSFnet, the electronic magazine which evolved into DargonZine. It’s by far the longest-running electronic magazine on the Internet, and its mission-to help aspiring amateur writers improve their craft-has been my real “life’s work”.

Orono isn't Northern Maine. Northern starts on the other side of Old Town.

Ha! I will have to be more careful about my UMO references in the future.

Yeah, from a geographical standpoint, Orono's actually pretty central, but who considers anything north of Old Town anything but arctic tundra? If you found the center of Maine's population distribution (a location I'd be curious to know), I bet Orono's well north of that...

I lived in Limestone, ME for several years -- that's where the Air Force base is. (Way at the top of Aroostock Cty.)

I expect someone has calculated it -- after all, there's someone that does it for the whole USA.

was. there is no Air Force base there anymore.

When I last visited, there is now a pretty groovy Math and Science charter school. And some commercial aircraft repair operations. It was also the scene of a few Phish concerts.
