I just mailed in my first passport for renewal. I’m naturally sad to lose my little collection of passport stamps. What kind of memories do they hold? Now might be a good time to review my international travels.

When I renewed my passport a little over a year ago, they mailed my old one back, too - with only a hole punched in it to mark it void. So, even though it wasn't the point of the post, you may get back the actual stamps.

You are correct, sir. Very strange that they'll just hand it back to you, virtually intact. But hey, I won't complain!
