I finally broke down and paid for music on iTunes, as much as I hate the idea of paying Apple for music. Oh well. Fortunately, there aren’t many songs I’d pay for which I don’t already own, so at least it won’t be a recurring theme.

I've been buying offa iTunes for about a year now, and have been fairly satisfied with it. I decided to do so in order to get the major-label songs that I couldn't find at eMusic.

But you want contrast? A few months ago I bought White Zombie's "More Human Than Human" (hard grinding metal) and Celtic Legend's "Siren" (atmospheric female vocals).

Most of what I've purchased from iTunes was done when Pepsi was doing their promotion with them and I was getting free music - many of which tunes I eventually bought the CD of. I'm just a gotta-be-able-to-hold-it kind of guy ...
