THANK YOU. I'm against bad quality, creepy portrayals of romantic relationships with fucked up and offensive (hello, top/bottom) assumptions of what kind of power dynamics should exist between two people, but I feel like I have to hide the fact that I read slash so that people won't associate me with the above, even though they're not the same thing at all. Which is my fault, too, for internalizing the assumption that people will think that of me because I read slash. :|
