Finally - the Tournament of Chivalry brain dump

Warning - according to MS Word this post is at least 10 pages long - read at your own risk.

Note - I'm sure some things were forgotten in this post - any errors are my fault, but LLT did make a few edits. Times listed came from either ladygriele or spikywheel since I never looked at the clock.

Expiditer. That's what you do, and part of what I do when I'm there.

I've been thinking - I am now of the opinion that the rushed feeling came from us at high table being inefficient is passing the food around. Along with having a really good time chatting.

I have a pampered chef apple-corer-peeler-slicer, just so you know for future reference.

1) I did not singlehandly make the pies. Frederick was right there slicing all those scallions and cracking eggs. Definitely a team effort.

2) The site guy opened up at 11:20. I was clock watching pretty closely as lunch was due at 12:00. Simone took over at 12:00 when I left. Lunch was served about 20 minutes late.

3) Pistachio... maybe pushing the cups into a soft base would help. Like Rice? or Bread crumbs or something?

4) Werner isn't in your original helper list.

5) Small whisks work better than big whisks for making the semolina dish. of the 3 pots, the one with the small whisk firmed up faster.

6) I think I finally have the dish cleaning thing down. I can now wash dishes w/o running out of hot water :)

5) Service started late due to people wanting to take showers before feast.

For the record: no pieces of fingers were lost in the making of this feast. lol :D In fact, my finger is much better now and healing very well.

I did love taking pictures for you guys, and those will be up as soon as I have 20sec to post them. (probably tonight) I'm really glad that I could help out - you guys are awesome!!! I'll shot any feast you want me to in the future - it was a blast!

We were so happy to have you come. Even without your camera you would have been valuable, but the pictures just make it extra spiff. I can't wait to see them and I expect I'll be having people ask me how they can get you to come to their feasts. ;)

We tend to welcome everyone in the kitchen for our feasts, but you now on the list of people who get notified first when LLT has a feast headcooking assignment.
