“Heyya baby.” Dongwook said, finding his pretty boyfriend sitting on one of the large white leather couches in the sunny back room, looking out the huge glass walls to the sparkling blue pool. He chucked his keys on the table, and leant down to kiss those succulent, tempting lips, only to have Jaejoong look up at the wrong moment at the kiss land on a snowy white cheek instead. Mentally shrugging, Dongwook made to sit down beside Jae, hand sliding up a denim-covered thigh with the movement.
“Hey.” Jae finally replied, smiling strangely at the older man. Dongwook didn’t really take much notice of it though, more intent on how delectable Jae was looking in his torn jeans and half-open silk button down.
“You going somewhere? I saw the bags in the foyer.” He asked Jaejoong, vaguely wondering if Jae would be off to someplace for a concert or promotions, and wondering if he should drag the other boy straight into bed if that were the case. He leant forward and laid some open mouth kisses on the pale neck, nipping at the skin. Jaejoong leant his head back slightly, but did not move into the touch.
“Mmm.” Jae murmured, as if he were thinking. Then he touched the side of Dongwook’s face lightly with his fingertips. “No. Those aren’t mine.” He said casually, and the other man frowned slightly, moving back slightly to look up at Jae’s face.
“Whose are they then?” He asked. Jaejoong blinked back at him, eyes large and manicured eyebrows raised slightly.
“They’re yours.” He replied, as if this were obvious. Dongwook moved back fully now, frowing confusedly and now getting a bit irritated.
“What d’you mean, mine?” Dongwook snapped. Jae blinked again, shrugging and standing up, slipping out of the other’s grasp and moving around the table, picking up the keys Dongwook had discarded and looping a finger through the key ring. The silver keys to Jae’s condo and to the sleek silver Jag outside jangled on the ring, light reflecting off them at Dongwook and causing him to squint.
“It’s all your stuff.” Jaejoong said, canting his head to the side a little, his ebony hair brushing over high cheekbones that millions of fangirls swooned over.
“My stuff?!” Dongwook repeated, utterly frustrated. Jaejoong was always like this, stubborn and uncooperative and right now, he was as blank and icy cool as he had been the first few times Dongwook had met him.
“Mmm.” Jae agreed placidly. “I called a cab for you too. It should be here soon.” He added as an afterthought, turning to walk from the large room, the key ring spinning lazy circles on his finger.
“Hey! What the hell are you saying? Don’t you walk away from me, Jaejoong.” Dongwook barked out, standing up and angrily grabbing Jae’s arm, spinning the smaller boy around.
Jaejoong looked down at the hand gripping his arm, and then up at Dongwook, like he couldn’t think why the other man was touching him. He looked so utterly disinterested that Dongwook found himself wanting to throttle the vacant look off his face.
“I’m sorry, what?” Jaejoong asked, a slightly hard edge to his tone.
“You can’t think that you’re going to break up with me?” Dongwook scoffed.
“You think you can just brush me off, just like that?” He demanded.
Jaejoong looked Dongwook up and down, and raised his eyebrows again.
“I don’t think I can - I just have.” He said slowly, as if Dongwook was stupid.
“You’ve got to be joking.” The older man said, finally realizing that Jaejoong wasn’t playing any games - he was really throwing him out. Jaejoong didn’t even bother to answer him, and Dongwook threw down the arm that he was still gripping, laughing loudly.
“Ha. Fine, you wanna be an idiot? Hon, you can’t live on your own - what the hell are you going to do with out me, huh? You think you can find someone else like me? You’re an idiot.” He proclaimed disdainfully. Jaejoong was the kind of guy that always needed someone else around - he was clingy and had leant on Dongwook for a while now. Despite his fame, his money, his pretty face - Jae was insecure and dependant.
But his words didn’t seem to have much effect on Jaejoong - or at least, not the affect he thought they would. Instead, Jaejoong let out a short giggle, shaking his head.
“Who said I’d be on my own?” Jaejoong said lightly. And, as if on call, a moment later, there was a noise from above and someone began to descend the polished timber hanging staircase behind Jaejoong.
“Who the fuck’s that?” Dongwook said, affronted. It was a guy, barefoot and damp all over, like he’d just come out from the shower. He was wearing one of the loose, gorgeously expensive summer drawstring pants that Jaejoong had bought Dongwook, and a white collared shirt that was left unbuttoned and clung slightly to the damp skin of the guy’s toned chest.
“Everything okay, baby?” The guy asked as he stepped off the last stair and walked up to the pair. He didn’t even glance at Dongwook, eyes fixed on Jaejoong. Jae turned his head to look at the man, casting him a smile that Dongwook used to get whenever he stepped up beside Jaejoong.
“Fine.” Jaejoong replied, reaching up with a hand to draw the man’s face close, kissing him sweetly.
Dongwook was ready to explode.
“Who the f-” He near yelled, only to be interrupted by the honking of a horn.
“Ah!” Jae exclaimed, turning away from the man to look down the hallway. “There’s the cab. Yunnie, be a sweetheart and tell him Dongwook will be there in a minute.” He told the man, patting his arm.
“Sure thing.” The guy said easily, taking another kiss and sauntering off down towards the front door while Jaejoong watched him go fondly and Dongwook fumed.
“Well, your bags are by the door. Everything’s there.” Jaejoong said as he turned back to his ex-lover.
“You cheating little -” Dongwook began, expression thunderous. Jaejoong looked taken aback.
“Oh no. Not me.” He denied. “Why don’t you call up your girl, talk to her about cheating.” He said pointedly, and then covered his mouth with a hand, making an exaggerated ‘oh no’ face. “Oops… you didn’t think I knew?” He said bitingly. “You go back to have fun with her then, since you’re God’s gift to mankind. But Wookie,” The pet name was sickly sweet in his mouth, “just don’t ever get to thinking that you’re irreplaceable.” He said playfully, smiling falsely at Dongwook. “Because you are. So easily.”
With that, Jaejoong turned around and left the room, the sun shining off his hair and creating a halo of light on his head that Dongwook nearly choked on.
Left with nothing else, he went down the hall, picking up the two bags sitting neatly by the door and walking outside, past the gorgeous machine Jaejoong had bought him, and down to the yellow cab in the drive, which was waiting with the trunk open. Offloading the bags, he looked back at the closed door of the house one more time before swearing fiercely and getting into the back of the car.
As the taxi pealed off down the driveway, and they went passed the beautiful, modern white house and the huge pool, Dongwook looked out the cab’s window and through the glass panes of the house to where Jaejoong was standing, wrapped around his new man, being kissed quite thoroughly. A second later, trees blocked his view, and just like that he was out of Kim Jaejoong’s life.
