go for it. I always wanted dread locks but when my hair got long enough, I got annoyed with it and cut it off in favour of a mohawk. ah well. :P

dreadlocks are aesthetically unpleasing, knotted, matted, brillo-pad-esque, smelly and dirty...but it's your hair, man!
