Summary:
Jin loved his brother so much. But one day Reio lied to him about seeing his friend Kazuya in Hokkaido ,he was in over happiness but he didn’t know that he’ll meet his death on a fire. After the eventful night Jin wanted revenge and he will definitely make Kazuya want that he’s the one dead and not Reio.
Chapter 2
Kazuya walked in one of the corridors in the hospital. Still hoping that this was all just a nightmare and that any minute now he’ll wake up. But reality drew closer to him as he was now in front of the room where the dead bodies were. Hearing some cries from the room, he was sure it was coming from Reio’s mother. It hurt him more, he felt so guilty about the situation. Hesitating to go inside the room, his whole body was weak and trembling but it was nothing he can’t feel anything anymore, he felt so numb. Gathering all his courage he went to face his fears. Four bodies covered with white cloths were in front of him, slowly walking closer he knew that a pair of eyes was on him scrutinizing his moves. The stare still felt just like before when he first met those eyes, still full of hate that made him stiffer. His body felt so heavy he couldn’t move. Suddenly a strong punch was thrown to his face while the people inside tried to stop the man.
“YOU BASTARD!!” Jin was so aggravated because of his presence. Trying to break away from the strong grips of people that are preventing him coming closer to Kazuya “LET ME GO! I’M GOING TO DEAL THINGS WITH THIS BASTARD!” he was out of control, people can’t even control him as they stumbled to the ground when Jin kicked and punched them. He made his way to Kazuya only to punch him harder. The boy did nothing , he let Jin punch him for he already felt numb.
“YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED HIM! IF NOT FOR YOU HE WAS STILL ALIVE WITH US NOW!“ Jin continued to punch him without realizing that tears were already falling from his eyes. He can’t think properly now.
“Jin! Stop this!”His father shouted at him while pulling him away from Kazuya. “Jin please stop. . .”the voice was more concerned and pleading. So Jin just shrugged it off and threw himself in a wall where he gradually slid off his back burying his face to his knees with his clenched fist punching the ground. He was crying uncontrollably. His mother who bent down at him to hug him . Kazuya can’t cry his eyes were glued on the ground. He didn’t even moved an inch since Jin backed off from him. He was lifeless , abandoned , and hated.
“Can you stand?”doctors asked him and he just nodded. When the tension lessened, the doctors helped him stand up and guided him to his family’s body. It was definitely them. He stared for a moment as his hands went across the female body as he tried to caress it that’s when a single tear fell.”I- I’m sorry, I ‘m sorry I can’t do anything” Glancing at the other three bodies he abruptly slump his head at the female body , who is his mother, drowning all his sorrows at her. He cried like a child that time. The first time he cried like this was when it was his first day at school and he doesn’t want to be apart from his mother. Clinging to her like he’ll lose her. But now the situation is different because he just lost his whole family and Reio. He knew that this time it will be forever.
“It will be alright” a hand landed on his shoulder patting him, he somewhat felt warmth. His big hands were like his father’s that made him cry more. He recognized the voice, it was a gentle voice from a father. Closing his eyes , he wanted to feel the gentle hands more. It made him calmer, it really reminded him of his father. It was definitely his father’s hand. ‘or is it really?!’ he thought as he turned up to face the man.
“You alright?” The man said as he gave him a smile. Kazuya was shocked he really thought there that it was his father’s gentleness. But instead it was Reio’s father. Slightly bowing his head, Kazuya returned a weak smile.
Ï’m really sorry for what happened . I don’t know how to asked for your forgiveness, I can’t do nothing I -“Kazuya stuttered . He was lost in words , afraid that he’ll be hated forever by his close friend’s family.
“H- he was my friend. . we . . were classmates he always saved me back then . . . but now - “Tears fell down uncontrollably again.
“I know no one wants this to happen. Of course I’m mad. But there’s nothing can be done, no one’s at fault and it’s not just our lost . So don’t take all burden here. Just let it out. I know that your even hurt than what you look like right now.” Nobou said to him but Kazuya could only nod and bow at response.
“I’m sorry”
Jin got up from he is seated and walked to Kazuya.
“Tell us exactly what happened?!!”He said with an angry tone but was calmer and her mother could only agree to his question as they both eyed him waiting for an explanation.
Flashback
Reio arrived at the cottage late because the train encountered some problems on their way. But when he saw the image of Kazuya smiling and running towards him, he couldn’t help but to smile.
“Reio!”Kazuya shouted still feet away from Reio. He was beaming with happiness “I missed you”he added as he jump towards Reio to hug him. They both fell to ground and laughing.
“I’m sorry, now your all mess” Kazuya told him pouting as he got rid of the dust in Reio’s shirt.
“Kazu-chan it’s alright. I’m fine besides I missed you too!”he said as he smiled at the boy “You’re still so cute!”Reio pinch Kazu’s nose which made the smaller boy surprised.
“Reio-chan! Stop it!” Shoving Reio’s hand away from his face he tried to get up.
“Still cute and skinny!”he said as he laughed and got up from the ground.
“Stop it!”
“I know. okay I’ll stop. By the way where are your family?”
Kazuya pointed at the cottage. It was really peaceful here.
“I was glad , you’re not lost on your way here” Kazuya said at Reio as they started to walk towards their cottage.
“Baka! How will I get lost you always invited me here back then”he said giving Kazuya a slap at the head.
“Well , I just thought you forgot”
“Why will I !?”
Kazuya just smiled at what Reio have just said. But suddenly he realized that his family was sometimes strict at him so how did he managed to persuade them.
“Ne Reio-chan, how did you tell your parents about going here?”
“Uh I had my ways. . . besides it was Jin and not my parents that I have problems regarding this. He’s even worse than them when it comes to being strict though he always goes out and comes home really late!” Reio said as he avoided to have an eye contact with Kazuya.
“ Then you’re lucky to have a brother like him!”
“WHAT?! You don’t know what you’re saying Kazu-chan! Besides I prefer your brother.”
Kazuya eyed him suspiciously with his statement. “Of course as a brother! what the hell are you just thinking huh!?” This made Kazuya laugh. Then he heard people shouting at him. It was Kazuya’s family. They were waving at him happily. Kazuya’s family was always warm and he felt really comfortable with them.
That whole day Kazuya and Reio were always laughing they chatted as if there’s no tomorrow.
“WHAT?! Reio your family doesn’t know you’re here? Reio we should tell them!”Kazuya searched for his celphone so that they could call his family.
“Kazuya , there’s really no need to. It will be fine”
“No! Reio! You should call them! They’ll get worried of you , then what if something will happen, what if-“
“Kazuya I’m already 18, so there’s really no problem here.”
“But still Reio . . “ He was stopped when Reio turned around his body at the end of the bed turning his back at Kazuya.
“Kazuya , let’s just sleep okay. I’m really tired. And I want to tour early tomorrow. So let’s just sleep , ne Kazu-chan?” Kazuya gave up and stretch his blanket to them. Reio quickly fell asleep soundly and Kazuya smiled at him wishing he could also sleep peacefully like him. Hours have past and still Kazuya couldn’t sleep. Sighing he went out a bit for a fresh air. He laid his body outside the cottage where he sees the night sky. He closed his eyes calmly as he tried to reminisce about his childhood friend. He was still kind as always. With his mind full of thoughts, he suddenly felt tiredness creeping inside him.

“. . . t- then when . . . I woke up the cottage was already on a huge fire.”Kazuya continued to tell the story. His face tells how much he regretted to leave the cottage.
“How could you fall asleep outside! Leaving him all alone there! I thought you were his friend! You selfish fake!”Jin shouted to his face. It obviously hit Kazuya. He trembled at the thought of abandoning them, he was selfish, loser. He was trembling and tears slowly showing up again. Jin on the other hand smirked at the sight and clenched his fist to blow a punch on Kazuya’s face but something taken him aback, something stung in his heart that made him angrier but couldn’t throw his fist at him.
“I- I am totally worthless”
However Jin didn’t want to continue talking to him and just leave the room together with his mother trailing from behind. They sat down in one of the chairs. After minutes of silence, Jin finally started to talk.
“Mom where is Kota? Does he know already?”he asked not turning his head to his mother.
“I didn’t tell it yet since he was on your grandma’s place. I couldn’t call them.”Akanishi Kota is the youngest son anwas closest to his grandma.
“ So no one still knows about what happened.”

“Should I do it?”Jin asked his mother now turning his head around with a concerned look and her mother just gave him a smile while hugging him tightly.
“It will be alright Jin” she told him as he stroked his son’s hair and heard him murmured. “I promise to make his life hell!”
