Chapter 1
Akanishi Reio just waved goodbye as he got out of his brother’s car. Not looking back, he went directly at the school gate before giving his last glare at Jin complaining that he should go and he’ll be fine. Jin was always too protective with Reio that he even talked to their driver declaring that he will be the one who will send Reio at their shool trip.
“Just go! I’ll be fine! You should just went to your class trip instead of following me here!” Reio shouted enough for Jin to hear as he stopped at the gate to turn to him with scowl on his face and stomp his feet on the ground. “ You know you’re worse than mom!”
“ Shut up! and just be thankful you’re handsome and sexy brother is looking out for you.” Jin said with one of his eyebrows raise. “ Besides I don’t want to be on school trips. It’s boring and just a waste of time”
“You mean arrogant.” Reio said while laughing at his brother’s statement. “ I’ll be alright besides I’m just two years younger than you and more mature so I should be fine”
“ What did you say?!”
“ Just go okay? I’ll be fine now”
“ Okay, anyway I just want to get away from the house.” Jin said turning his head away from his brother while looking for his phone inside the car.
“You’re always out”
“Tch . Whatever. Okay so have a nice trip then” Reio just smiled at him but before turning the engine of the car Jin waved his celphone to Reio.
“I know. I’ll call.”
Satisfied , he left Reio in front of the school gate wondering why he was still standing there looking at his direction. Jin thought that Reio must have a secret his hiding from him, since he was so happy about this school trip. It’s not different from any school trip anyway, they always had a school trip every year. Reio’s attitude really disturbed him and made him worry so to calm down he insisted that he’ll send him at their school.
Reio’s image was now out of sight then a sound from his phone startled him making him slightly jump at his seat.
“Fuck” he saw the caller id and it was from yamapi.
“ Oi Pi?! what the hell! I’m driving!” Jin shouted
“ Baka! then you shouldn’t have picked it in the first place” Yamapi said “ What are you coming here or what?”
“ I’m on my way so don’t disturb me or I’ll change my mind!” Jin banged his celphone on the other seat. Jin finally sighed and decided to gave up on his thoughts about his brother. ‘ Tch. I’m too paranoid. Even worse than mom.’ Jin thought.
Not that they know , Reio was planning on something else, he was planning on meeting his friend from his elementary school, Kamenashi Kazuya. Just a week ago, Reio had received a mail from Kazuya saying that he’ll come to Hokkaido for a vacation. Knowing that his family wouldn’t allow him to visit his friend there he just told them that he’ll go to their school trip instead and then sneak to Hokkaido afterwards. His thought his plan was great and he was carrying it now. He didn’t went inside the school and when his brother was out of his sight he smiled and run to the train station.
His trip to Hokkaido seemed days too him it was so long. He missed Kazuya so much since it was 8 years since he last saw him. Wondering what he looks like right now. He thought of Kazuya’s image back then he was so skinny and his skin was so pale that’s why he was always being picked on by his classmates telling that he was so girly. He was always the one who saves the crying Kazuya from them. That’s when they became close friends and promised to Kazuya that he will always protect him. With his memories of him he can’t help but smile.
“This will definitely be fun!” Reio told to himself as he closed his eyes.

It was already evening and Jin was still waiting for a phone call from Reio but received nothing. He growled with this but he can’t call his brother every now and then. ‘Reio was right he’s already old enough to take care of himself’ Jin talked to himself as he gulped another glass of beer.
“Oi Jin! Spacing out again huh?” Ryo shouted from behind with his arms around a girl as they approached him. “Why don’t you have fun there” Ryo pointing on the dance floor where Yamapi was surrounded by other people dancing seductively.
“ Sorry but it’s not my thing Ryo.” Jin said sarcastically and giving Ryo a death glare.
“You know you’ll give in to it someday. ~temptation” Ryo teased Jin while the girl beside him strokes Ryo’s hair and kissing his neck downwards resulting to Ryo to moan which made Jin disgust.
“ Get a room!” Jin shouted at them turning his attention at his phone when he saw that he got a call.
“mom?” He looked at his celphone somewhat disappointed that it’s not from you.
”I’ll go home later so - ” he was cut off when he heard his mom sobbing from the other line.
“What’s the problem?”
“Jin, come home already Reio he’s . . . he’s “ Jin didn’t wait for his mom to finish what she was about to say . He stormed out of the club.
“Oi Jin!” Ryo wanted to grab his arm but someone else grab his arm and chose to just let Jin be.

“Fire! Fire!”
A guy with blonde hair fell on his knees as he saw their cottage on a huge fire. Fire fighters were already around and people shouted as they panicked to run back and forth. He can’t turn up his head up to see the sight, his eyes were glued on the large fire as his whole body shivers and tears fell from his --eyes.
“ This was meant to be fun. . .” he said as heavy tears continued to flow.

Suddenly a black car stopped in a distance from him wherein two men and a woman came out. The woman was hysterical, shouting and crying while his husband , was comforting her and restraining her to go beyond the house. The other remaining man who was still dazed looking side to side from his parents then to the burning house still doesn’t know what to do and can’t bring himself to believe what is happening in front of him.
“ Rina stop! Get yourself together!” her husband, Nobou told her as she insisted that her son was there and he needs her.
“ I need to get my son! Reio! Reio!” She bursts out
“ Stop it! It will hurt more to see you both there. Stay here , I’ll go.” Still holding his wife , Nobou examined the place but with this huge fire, who is he kidding, no one can definitely enter. His whole body wanted to faint but his family needs him.
“ Jin? Jin ?!” He called out his son’s name to let him take care of his mom first so that he can at least go near the cottage and do something to help out. As Jin snapped out of his thoughts he went to his mother’s side to give her support and some encouragement not only for his mom but also for himself to slowly comprehend to the situation. It was still a shock for them receiving a phone call from a police officer asking for Reio’s identity and telling that he was inside a burning cottage in a resort in Hokkaido. They didn’t know that Reio went there since he was supposed to be on a class fieldtrip and not in some resort in Hokkaido. He cursed himself again and again for not calling Reio earlier ‘If only I called him. . . this won’t happen! I always call him and why now. . . why’
Nobou run towards the cottage but he was still pushed by the people, he can’t do anything but to pray for a miracle to happen. He lowered his head only to see a boy slumping on the ground crying. His presence struck him. There was something in this boy’s aura that made him want to comfort him that he wanted to go near him help him stand up and gave some courage to the boy. Then all of a sudden his body involuntarily walked close to him and met his teary eyes as he wiped it with his grimy hands. He halted for a second having second thoughts but continued his way.
“Are you okay? Can you get up?” He extended his hands to him
“I - I am . . .” When he is about to get his hands Jin shouted something that made him more worried to his family. His sight traveled to where Jin is then .
“ Dad, dad! mom she. .!” Jin shouted. When Nobou turned around he saw his wife , lifeless.
“ She fainted! What to do now?! Reio . . . he is . . then now! “ Panicked was all over Jin’s face now.
“ Stay calm son, she’ll be alright! “ he said as he carried his wife towards the medics.
Apparently giving up to the fact that they can’t do anything now , they waited until the fire was gone.
It took three hours before the fire was totally gone. The guy who was was now talking to the people who gathered around at the burned out house, he keep on asking the firemen of what happened. Suddenly an ambulance arrived and nurses quickly retrieved the four bodies. All were dead.
“ How could I abandon them. . .” He walked closer to the bodies. It was his family, his father , mother , and brother. He wanted to hug them and lie close to them but his body felt weak and so he was easily pushed away by the nurses that’s when he heard somebody cried out loud.
“No! Reio! You shouldn’t have come to this place! “ Rina shouted as Ishin and Jin tightened their grip to her as they held back their tears and avoiding to see Reio’s body.
‘ They’re Reio’s family. It’s all my fault, they might’ve hate me if they’ll know what happened. What should I do’ Kazuya stared at them thinking that it would have been better if he’s the one that stayed in the house. He wanted to get closer to them and asked for forgiveness but then she just went after the ambulance where her family was taken. He was so guilty and afraid, every second his body became more tense and he felt so alone without realizing that his body was shaking as he met a pair of livid eyes. This made him more scared but could not allow himself to tremble. He can’t take off his eyes from the man, feeling as if he was being eaten with wrath by his contact with this man.
“Jin! come on!” The stare was then broke when the man who he recognized as Reio’s father called Jin to hurry up as they followed the ambulance with their car.
“ Jin . . .” he mumbled assuring that he got the name right and then lowered his head more and added“ . . . I’m sorry”
