UPDATE:
Chapter 21
The chat was just brief. While Jin ordered Kazuya to get dress and stay in their, the two former friends talked too formal with each other. The air was tense and every word they utter was properly conceived in their mind for any mistakes. Little by little, Ueda’s plot against Kazuya was discussed as well as his relationship with each of them. Jin was just like how surprise Yamapi was, what more to Kazuya.
“But why are you telling this to me?” Jin asked, suspiciously “Or is this some of your plan? We all know that you like Kazuya”
“That’s true then you must already know that I will never do any harm to him” Yamapi clarified.
“Giving up?” Jin stated with his lips slowly curving into a smile. “Finally… it took so long before you realized that you don’t stand a chance against me!” he mocked.
Yamapi smirked at him and slap his head “Stupid!” he retorted and they both laughed at each and it felt like ages since the two of them did this together.
“Don’t be too relax, I might steal him again”
“Again? Don’t talk as if you’re first attempt was a success” Jin wrinkled his face in disgust.
“You don’t know everything Jinjin… you’re not with Kazuya 24/7. ” Yamapi winked at his friend who in a second there loses his confidence. “If you forgot my friend, he worked in my restaurant…”
“Huh?? D-Did something happen between the two of you while I’m not looking?!”
“Nothing too serious for you to get jealous” Yamapi concluded as he got up. Jin followed his every action with accusing eyes. “Don’t ask it to Kame-chan okay? He’ll surely get shy about it” he teased.
“Yamapi!” Jin warned.
Instead of some apologize, he heard amused laughs. Yamapi’s obviously enjoying this. He calmed down himself first before he could throw a fit.
“Jin, are you going to tell it to Kame?” he asked sounding so serious this time. Understanding what Jin was thinking when he showed a confused look at him, he rolled his eyes “About Ueda??”
“Oh… Ueda” Jin muttered when it finally dawned to him. “Of course! I’ll tell it to him. Why would we hide it?? He must know what kind of person he is!”
“Do you think it’s a right time to tell him this? He just got out from prison, many things happened and he still thinks Ueda as a friend…”
“So what’s your point?”
“I just don’t think he’ll get through it” Yamapi explained in a low voice “Knowing how emotional he is, once he learned that his bestfriend is betraying him, he might breakdown. Why don’t you take things slow… Tell it to him bit by bit. Explain it thoroughly, you understand?”
“I know that already. I’ll talk to mom for now” Jin declared and Yamapi nodded. He headed towards where Kazuya entered to hide and knocked.
“Kame-chan…I’ll be going” he said. After some knocks a small face peeped, as the door opened a little. Jin came from behind and smiled at him.
“Did you change your dress?” Jin asked before he pulled him out when he gave a nod.
“Eh? You look so good in that dress…why take off” Yamapi teased and fake a sad face.
“Shut up!” Jin hollered. Yamapi on the other hand just wave his hand and didn’t utter another word before going out of their sight.
“You two are okay?” Kazuya asked, happily and Jin cautiously nodded.
“That’s good! I’m so happy for you” he expressed, smiling.
“Really?” Jin imitated his smile while pinching his lover’s cheeks, stealing a kiss.
“I am really happy…”
“Then that makes me happier” Jin asserted, scooping him in his knees, carrying him to their room as Jin enjoyed his reward for the rest of the night.
At Ueda’s place, the room was so dark and only edges of the things were visible. He didn’t feel any fear as he waited in the living room. No any lights were opened as the moon peered through the closed curtains in the windows. Patiently he waited. He knows he’ll get through this, he’ll make him believe and Yamapi will choose his side.
“Yamapi will take my side… he’ll definitely take my side” he chanted and stared weakly at the floor. Perhaps it has been 2 or more hours since he got home. Never once did he enter his room and occupied himself in a small space in the corner. His shoulders leaning in the cold wall was something that made him feel strong and dependent. That he doesn’t need anyone and only himself. Not even a friend.
“Yamapi…” Ueda uttered when the dark room suddenly turned too bright, needing his eyes to adjust. With a sound of click and footsteps in the doorway, he knew Yamapi’s home.
“Just came to get my things” Yamapi declared, ignoring him and walked straight to the bedroom.
“Why? Are you going somewhere? You’re not going to sleep here tonight?”
“I’ll leave this house for good. Stay here if you want” Yamapi said, coldly while packing his clothes.
“What? No! Don’t leave me…” Ueda panicked and hurriedly unpack and threw away the clothes that were already in his bag.
“Ueda!” Yamapi snapped out.
“Why are you leaving me?? Because of Kame?”
“No”
“Liar!” he cried out, falling on his knees. “Liar…”
“Ueda, get up…” Yamapi said “Can you see yourself?? You look miserable… get up”
Yamapi frowned and clenched his fist. “I said stop crying” he stated calmly.
“You’re telling me I’m a liar? Then what do you call yourself??”
“I didn’t mean to keep it from you. I was afraid you’ll hate me…” he managed to said in between his cries. “I never did Yamapi, please don’t hate me you’re the only one I have”
“How can you do it? Kame’s your bestfriend” Yamapi said in disbelief “He cares for you…”
“So is Reio…” Ueda stated “He’s my bestfriend…” he added, still crying.
“He’s more than that…”
“You two are together??” Yamapi asked, curiously.
Ueda shook his head “No. It’s just one sided… he never loved me the same way I do” he said, resentfully.
Yamspi frowned at confusion.
“Reio’s in love with Kame and not me… Even with that I still support him and tried my best to stay friends with them” Ueda started talking with obvious hesitation in every words. “Something inside of me dies everytime he talks to me how he loves him or how he would confess. But I still couldn’t hate Kame! I want to hate him! I want to forget all about them. I want to move on or maybe all this time I was just waiting that maybe one day he’ll realize it’s better to keep his feelings to himself” Ueda paused for a moment “Actually he called me that day he went to Hokkaido, to confess to him. Of course Kame doesn’t know about it, it’s our secret…I tried to stop”
“You’re blaming him?? He obviously has nothing to do with his death! Do you seriously think he’d like Reio to die??” Yamapi talked out, angrily. “Ueda that’s so selfish… Everybody’s blaming him!” he added, gritting his teeth. But Ueda, concentrated looking below Yamapi’s eyes.
“ You’re the only one he have… He’s expecting you to be there for him. But you’re actually worse than all of those people throwing curses at him! What do you think he would feel if he’ll know this??”
“Then let him know until he dies because of all the depression!” Ueda retorted making Yamapi launch a punch at him, though his hands stop inches from his face.
“Why is it always all about him!?” Ueda burst out. “You know what, I am hating him more because of this stupid talk!
“And you used me to make a revenge?” Yamapi smirked, disgustedly. “Here I thought I was the one who took advantage of you” he caught Ueda’s gaze and glared at him “Since when are you plotting all this with Jin’s mom?”
Ueda smirked “I visited Reio’s funeral. That was when Rina approached and talk to me. We both have the same interest -” he didn’t completed his sentence when he felt his collars being grabbed harshly then all of a sudden he was pressed on the wall.
“You’re so low!”
“We’re just the same!” Ueda shouted. “Didn’t you also plotted against them?? Against Jin?”
His grip on his collar slowly loosen as he backed away “That’s why I want to straight things out”
“You already can’t…” Ueda stated.
Yamapi rolled his eyes “What do you mean?”
“Side with us, Yamapi” Ueda suggested, earnestly “I promise you, you’ll get what you want. I’ll give Kame to you”
“What are you really planning? You want to take revenge and you’re giving him to me??” Yamapi said, frowning.
“As long as he won’t be with the one he loves, I’m fine with it”
“You’re crazy…” Yamapi uttered in disbelief, getting his suitcase with his clothes.
“Yamapi… this is the only chance you have”
“Thanks but no. You will never win Ueda. I’ll break all your plans” Yamapi threatened but Ueda just smirked.
“Then let’s see about that ne, Pi-chan”
Days have passed that turned into weeks. Ueda is nowhere to be seen, rumors said that he went back to his town, but Yamapi doubt it. After their conversation weeks ago, he had been into a great dilemma. Maybe just a little more push from Ueda had made him give in. The way Ueda talked that time with full of assurance made his offer more tempting.
Before he could even think differently, he immediately talked about it with his friends. Ryo was calm but Jin was the opposite. By the time he learned it, he ended up being a 24/7 bodyguard of Kazuya. He never explained nor asked for permission, he just did it. Naturally, Kazuya was suspicions but they never tell him anything, believing that it would make things easier. They made him believe that Ueda went back to his hometown.
“Jin… you’re following me again” Kazuya whined, stopping at the corridors while Jin was hiding at a room. He was a bad stalker after all. When he was still not showing himself, Kazuya decided to take up the steps to him. Angrily, he opened the door, revealing his astounded lover. “Mou Jin!”
“Kazu…” he smiled, sheepishly.
“Really, why are you always following me??” Kazuya interrogate him, frowning with his hands on his waist “In our apartment, in my work… If it’s not you, other people that you hired would. Is there a problem??”
“Eh?” Jin uttered, while shaking his head.
“Fine! Don’t talk to me!” he declared, shutting the door at the other’s face.
“Wait!” Jin proclaimed tugging at his angry lover’s sleeves. “I’m not following you…”
“Yeah right…” Kazuya rolled his eyes and ignored him.
“Really, this is just purely coincidence. I mean why would I follow you? You’re not in danger or anything so there’s no point…” Jin explained but stopped halfway when Kazuya eyed him worriedly.
“Am I in danger?”
“No” Jin shook his head many times that it looked more unconvincing.
“Why?? I didn’t do anything…” Kazuya mumbled to himself “I was already suspecting that your mom’s behind all your acts these days” he added, peeking at Jin’s reaction for confirmation.
“No…”
“She is…” Kazuya concluded and walked faster this time.
Jin sighed even though he trailed behind him. He manage to slip away everytime they talked about it these past few weeks. But then, it might not be his lucky day today.
He kept whining while walking after him but he never showed any interest.
“She’s not the only one after you” Jin finally blurted it out, making Kazuya stop at his spot.
“Ueda… “ he continued “he’s not really in his hometown, it’s all lies.”
Kazuya looked at him.
“He wants a revenge” Jin let out after a sigh.
“It’s not true.” Kazuya uttered, firmly “Why don’t you just tell me the truth, I will not get mad. Just don’t drag Tat-chan into this”
“That’s why I never wanted to tell you! We don’t want you to get hurt…”
“We? Who else knows…”
“Ryo and Yamapi, they know it all” Jin finished his sentence “Yamapi was the last one he met before he went missing or hiding in some place.”
Knowing that Kazuya won’t believe it that easily, he dragged the younger one into some place quiet for them to talk. Actually, it’s already Jin’s limit. It might not be now but he was itching to confess how terrible Ueda is. He doesn’t deserve Kazuya’s friendship or any kind of sympathy.
“Why would I believe you…Ueda can’t do that!”
“He already did!” Jin shouted back. “Why can’t you believe me? I’m telling you the truth”
“Ueda never treated me badly. Why would he want revenge??” Kazuya accused.
“I already told you!” Jin snapped out. Why can’t he just believe him?
“He never keeps secrets from me. If you think that I don’t know about his feeling for Reio then you’re wrong!” he defended his bestfriend provoking Jin more.
“Don’t accuse him like that! You don’t even know him” Kazuya was in rage. He’s mind was in a mess and was blanking out. That it was rejecting all the reproving words against his bestfriend.
“I know, I don’t know him like you do but from what I just learned about him is enough to say that he’s an asshole!”
“What??” Kazuya growled “I don’t even know if I could trust you right now… Isn’t it you that wanted to have a revenge on me…”
“Huh!?”
“That’s what you wanted before…right?” Kazuya mumbled “Maybe you’re just using Ueda to… hide the fact that you -”
“That I what?!”
Kazuya hesitated to continue his sentence and drop his head down. Looking at the ground, his hands trembling and tears were already forming on his eyes. He shook his head.
“All this time, you think I want revenge?? That I’m using you??” Jin stated, ruffling his hair in irritation.
“I-I’m sorry…” Kazuya apologized and mumbled “That’s not what I mean…”
“This is unbelievable…” Jin gritted, turning his back at him. Kazuya never said a thing and just looked at him.
“Will you be fine going home alone today?” Jin uttered as calm as possible
Kazuya nodded and Jin walked out, dejected.
The lights were making him dizzier. Besides the alcohol, Jin drowned himself in cigarette for stress relief. His eyes followed the red lights on the dance floor as he uses it to make himself busy. His sight never leaves it even he drinks down a glass of beer. As a result when, a young woman with golden brown hair just above her shoulder, with a sexy body misunderstood it. Taking a hint that he was flirting with eyes, she walked closer until she found his lap comfortable to sit on.
“You’re alone…” she whispered in his ear as she trailed her fingers on his shoulder. Jin was too drank too think coherently so he just closed his eyes, feeling that it’s more relaxing that way.
“Bad day…” he mumbled and the girl smirked.
Her lips landed on his neck and trace down a few kisses. “Want me to make you feel good?”
Jin moaned at the touches and kisses. He was panting hard when the girl unbuttoned his shirt, seductively. Her kisses went downward until she opened his pants and met his waistband.
“Kazuya?” Jin whispered, frowning. His sight was blurred and his head hurts so badly; but when he looked at the person he was kissing back, he saw the person he loves the most.
“Kazuya…” he muttered in between the kiss. He pulled the girls head and kissed her feverishly.
“Want to get out of here?” she smiled, seductively and Jin nodded.
She reached out Jin’s arms and put it around her to support him from walking. Jin’s already half asleep so he dropped down his head at the girls shoulder, smelling him. The smell’s not the same, Jin noted though he still continued to walk with her.
“Kazu ~ sorry… didn’t mean to leave you there…” he apologized drunkenly as he brushed her hair, lovingly.
The girl smiled and leaned in to the hands. “Shh…” she uttered and engaged him in a deep kiss. They started their night in her car, sharing kisses and affectionate touches, sucking out each other’s energy. As quickly as possible she drove to the nearest hotel.
Jin felt like his head was breaking in two as he shut his head in pillow when the sunlight hit his eyes.
“Kazu… please close the curtains…” he whined but rather the room became brighter.
“Kazuya, please…” he rolled to the other side then frowned when he noticed the different color of the walls. He quickly sat up then his eyes widened when his eyes saw an entirely differently room.
“Babe, I told you many times already. It’s not Kazu...”
“What is this!?” He stood up, ignoring how his head reacted badly.“Shit! Shit!” he cursed and pulled up his pants and quickly sloppily wore his shirt.
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t - ” he started then his head twisted in pain.
“You’re having a hangover, you drank too much last night…”
He looked at her and it didn’t need time to realize what they did last night.
“Listen, I don’t have any idea what happened. I never wanted this to happen… Let’s just forget this and never - “
“Eh? You we enjoyed it so much last night. I know I did and so do you…” she smirked and walked closer, hugging him and drawing his scent.
“Get off!” he shouted and shoved away her hands. With his headache, he snapped out easily. He took his things then he saw missed calls from his phone.
“Damn it…” he cursed and went out the room. Great! Kazuya called him last night while he was doing it with somebody. How stupid he is!
He dialed back his number but he was not answering. Looking at his watch, he concluded that Kazuya might still be sleeping right now. He put his phone back inside his pocket and hailed a taxi, telling the name of the bar he went last night since his car was still there.
Soon he reached his apartment.
“Yamapi? Ryo?” he said, confusedly. His heart was beating fast as if something happened. It’s impossible that they’ll know about what he did last night that quick. “Why are you here??”
“You’re not answering your phone!” Yamapi hollered. “Are you drunk??” he added, frowning.
“Where were you?” Ryo asked him. “We’ve been calling you”
“Huh?” Jin uttered “What happened?” he looked around his apartment, nothing’s changed except that Kazu
ya’s not together with them.
“Kame?” he asked then dashed towards their room.
“Shouldn’t we ask you that??” Yamapi said. “Obviously, he’s not here!”
“I-I don’t know…” Jin mumbled, feeling his energy sucked out from him.
“He called at Yamapi’s apartment last night, luckily he was there” Ryo said pointing out Yamapi
“But I wasn’t able to answer it and when I went here, your door was open but he’s not here… and you’re also not answering my calls!”
“He’s gone.” Ryo said and Jin couldn’t utter any word. He looked around the place weakly and tried to walk but he stumbled to the ground. Kazuya’s not here.
“Kazuya…” Jin mumbled, feebly.
“I’ll look for him” Yamapi proclaimed. “He might still be somewhere near here”
----
Kazuya is lying unconscious at the cold floor with his hands tied at his back. Blood were sticking out from his clothes after some beatings while the exposed skin was swollen with large bruises everywhere.
“Rina-san! W-what did you do to him??” Ueda’s eyes widened at what he saw.
“I just gave him a lesson” she smirked while picking up a steel bar with stains of blood.
“We agreed that you’ll just scare him a little!”
“He was so persistent so that’s what he gets… he doesn’t want to leave Jin”
“L-let’s get him to the hospital” Ueda’s already trembling as he brushes his fingers at him. He was so beaten roughly.
“Why would we?? I’ve already planned everything so don’t worry”
“He’ll die!!” Ueda shouted. “Are you planning to kill him?”
“He’s still alive…”she sneered “Why are you feeling so guilty all of a sudden? Don’t worry, I’ll just play with him until we get what we want…”
“This is enough!” Ueda shouted, firmly, losing the chains restrained at Kazuya.
“Fine! Let him go now and I assure you, you’ll end up in jail!” Rina shouted making Ueda stop.
“I told you, I will not kill him” she added and Ueda stood up, angrily looking at her.
“I don’t have anything to do with this if he dies!”
“Ueda-san…” she smirked “You’re the one who lured him here…so don’t you’re obviously together with this”
“B-But you said, you’ll just talk and scare him a little”
“It’s what I did” she said then suddenly men came in the room. They stared at the unconscious figure at the floor while smirking.
“Who are they??”
“Just some guards for your friend…” she said patting Ueda’s back and pulling him out from the room “They’ll take care of him”
“Don’t kill him okay…” she said at the men “Wait until he wakes up and call me”
