Did you also lose an animal? I feel like I missed something--not that that would be strange, as I was only born yesterday, but still.

[Kagerou sets her steps to the wolf's easy lope, occasionally leaping into a run as Furball quickens the pace. She knows she'd have no hope of keeping up if the wolf really wanted to lose her, but as things are, the company is welcome. Her steps feel lighter for having had that moment of peace, and whatever lies ahead, she almost feels ready to face it now.]
