Yay! I'm so glad you like it, and I have a few ideas playing around in the back of my head for other adventures/cases that they could have to deal with in this 'verse. :D

I really like this AU setting and the tension between Marcus and Esca--it felt very in keeping with canon. It was quite a creepy story, too! And I liked how you managed to fit in the eagle reference. :) Also loved Placidus as their handler, obsessed with efficiency, LOL.

Thanks so much! I wish I'd had a cool mascot like an Eagle when I was in high school. The school I went to for three years had the Pegasus (though my senior year school were the Rams, so that wasn't so bad).

I totally imagine Placidus with piles of papers sorted neatly on his desk, that he manages to get into total disarray when tracking a monster, which irritates him to no end, and so he gets extra-short with Marcus and Esca.
