As for the shoelace scene, yeah, I can definitely agree with cringing at that. It seemed a bit gender!fail to me. ^^;;
And yeah, I thought the romance was very accurate to the book, if a bit light, compared to the novel. The whole point of the sixth book was to reveal that love is greater than hate. It's hard to remove that theme from the film (and who would want to).
Oh, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!! I know I'm two days off, and I'm sorry about that. I was trying to write a birthday fic, but it kept ending up as epic fail. ^^;; So, BEST WISHES!
