It sure has been quiet around here lately. I guess everyone is either really busy or has nothing to post about. I myself have been quite busy, but at the same time, nothing exciting has happened. Has anyone heard from Suzy lately ( Read more... )

Has anyone responded to your emails yet? It seems like someone should have responded by now. At least I hope so.

Just a thought, but have you tried any alternative methods to cope with your migraines? Maybe some sort of herbal therapy, yoga, or meditation? I know it is never easy when you have one, even for only a few hours. *hugs*

I think I'm finally getting things straight as far as school goes...I have to register on Nov 23 for a few classes. Unfortunately, I can't get my school loan until at least February. Ouch!

I've been wanting to look into some other treatment methods - pain relievers don't work that well, and I don't like putting a ton of pills in my body anyway. Someone at work suggested Pilates, since I tend to also get a lot tension in my neck. I'm open to anything at this point.

February? Wow, that is a bit of a ways off. Is there anything that can be done to ease the financial strain until you get the loan?

Pilates sounds like a good option. I've been looking into Yoga and Pilates for flexibility and overall health. It doesn't sound like you could go wrong with either, but just try to take it easy if you do decide to take up Pilates. It is supposed to help with neck and back pain, but like with any exercise, it can make those pains worse if done incorrectly. Amazon.com has how-to videos at reasonable prices and Ebay probably has some as well. If you have a local video rental place, you could probably find some there, too (our Blockbuster has one but I don't know about the other video store chains). And if your friend does Pilates, perhaps he/she could help teach you on what exercises you would benefit most from. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! :)
