Lockdown

As of now any entry that was once public is now flocked. That means all fic and icon posts (with the exception of one) are locked until I see fit. Sucks but it's for my own peace of mind right now.

icons, fic and fanmixes unlocked as of 8/10/2007 (October 8, 2007). all will stay unlocked for the foreseeable future.

At the moment I don't have fic archived anywhere other than LJ. I've been thinking about putting it somewhere else, but I don't know where, simply because I don't think I have them anywhere else anymore (my laptop died 2 days before I came to Europe) and I really don't want to lose them.

I'll keep you posted on what happens. :)

Did you have to manually lock every post or is there something techy you can do to lock them all at once? Just I've been thinking of going f-locked for a while because apparently my lj is findable through my real name and I think that's what's been turning off prospective employers (I really should stop posting at work), but the idea of manually locking every post terrifies me.

There's a mass security tool that you can use to lock everything. Go here which I found by going through Manage --> Entries in the LJ toolbar, then clicking on Mass Security Tool, which is titled Edit Journal Privacy on the page. You can pretty much pick a certain date to lock everything down from. Don't forget to check if you want it friends or private.

But omg, I couldn't imagine work people or employers finding my LJ. :(
