This is your mid-week reminder to Enter Here.

A little early, I know, but I was trying to do it midweek since the contest was posted. I'm weird like that. I know you all don't really know me, let alone as a mod, so I'll try and introduce myself a little. My name is Amanda and it's two years this week I've been completely obsessed with Evanescence ( Read more... )

That makes me feel under-obsessed suddenly. Hehe. Maybe I need to over compensate for lack of time?
Anyways, it's great to meet you Andrea, and thank you, hopefully I won't disappoint anyone.

I've loved them since I saw the vid. for bmtl ... so since april 2003 I guess. I wasn't OBSESSED with them until about a year later.

What was it about the video? Was it the song, or the way it was put together that sucked you in? I felt it was better then the Going Under because the physical portray of the lyrics were more accurate. But that's me. =)

I'm not sure what it was. i think the combination of a good female singer with heavy guitar worked well for me. not to mention how cool the video was.

and...this may have nothing to do with anything, but I think showing ben moody all evil at the end of going under, then him and amy all seperated and lonely in my immortal was sort of forshadowing. :P

Three years, I guess. I fell in love when I heard Bring Me To Life. Actually, I thought I *love* her voice. I could do without the guy, but I love her. And we all know that worked out just fine ;)

I agree her voice is what it's all about. Are you a fan of the acoustics then? Her variations of acoustics, especially the (Origin era?) acoustic piano version of My Immortal. It's obvious her voice has developed better as a singer, but there's something about the natural tallent.
