Well I haven't posted much here for a while so I thought I would, but unfortunately not much has happened so this most likely will be incredibly dull

I've had a few people like your neighbour in my life before. I find that if I just continue to be polite but clearly not interested in anything more than friendship, they tend to get the idea eventually. Then they either disappear and I never hear from them again, or we stay friends. In fact, one guy who started out like that is now one of my best friends.
That's good to hear. At the moment I'm just staying in the house as much as I can, I missed the gym today cos I really don't want any awkward conversations. I'm such a social failure XD
Must make it worse living next door to the guy, that's not something I've ever had to deal with. Try not to let him stress you out or ruin your plans though. If he comes over, just say hi, and tell him you're in a rush or something. Unless he's lurking by the window waiting to see if you go out though, he's unlikely to see you anyway. (And if he is doing that, he's a creepy stalker and you'd be well within your rights to tell him to take a hike!) :-)
You may be glad to know that I just managed a trip to the gym without seeing odd neighbour. Although when I got home he'd text me, but oh well, small victories XD
