lmao, somehow that situation doesn't seem that farfetched with them. Great chapter and congratulations on your win!

I have to say, it's also a great compliment to know that, though Claire isn't your favorite character on the show, you're enjoying the way she's portrayed in this story. I have mixed feelings about the character myself, but it's been interesting taking the time to explore her a little here.
Again, thanks so much for the great comments! Part Ten should be up soon--hope to see you there!

*snort* Aww, Claude. So affectionate.
Anyway, as usual, love the little touches about Peter and Claude's relationship, and the conversation between Claude and Claire. Claude certainly did better here than Bennet actually did on the show in explaining that.
Well, then, I guess the answer to your question is yes--West is my ‘friend’ the same way Peter is your ‘friend,’” Claire said, using air quotes to emphasize her point. “But without the creaking bedsprings.”
“The creaking bedsprings are the best part,” Claude said.
Hee. Awesome.
Also, love the little Adam mention.
And yeah, congratulations on your award!

Second, I'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter, especially Claude's evil little fantasy about the demise of Peter's family and his conversation with Claire. It was interesting writing a discussion between those two, though I have to say when I first wrote it the typos were numerous. Their names are spelled so similarly that I kept typing "Claude" where I meant to type "Claire" and vice versa. The results were actually kind of humorous.
Thanks so much for reading and also for the congrats on the award. Writing in Claude's voice has been both fun and challenging--it's very exciting and a little surreal to have won an award for it! Part Ten should be up soon. I hope you continue to enjoy!

But really, it had only been a matter of time and since Peter had the ability to get up and walk away from just about anything, Claude wasn’t about to get all torn up over the tragic demise of his immediate relations.
LOL. Ain't this the truth.
“Fine,” he said and picked up the bowl. “But if you tell anybody about this, I’ll…do something that will physically hurt but have no lasting consequences because you heal from everything and probably have an unusually high tolerance for pain.”
“That’s a pretty lame threat,” she replied.
LOL. Claire and Claude moments of cuteness. Awww.
