Firefly Cast Banners

Jan 02, 2006 17:37

In a odd moment, bored out of mind, I made this set. Each of the main characters of Firefly/Serenity are represented. Take them and enjoy if like them! Use them to promote the release of Serenity!! ♥

Isn't that perfect!! Almost like it was made for Wash graphics. :D It's from a brush set by nardasarmy!

Wow, these are beautiful. I love some of the subtle images behind the names on some of them.

Thank you! I had so much fun digging up brushes for those. I think my favorite is either Wash's or River's. It's just too bad I couldn't come up with one for all of them. :)

Yeah, those are probably my favorites as well. I do really like the flame for Kaylee/Mechanic, though.

That's the first one I did and I always like the one I do first best so I definitely agree with you there! Most of the brushes (flame included) are from a set made by nardasarmy called "Danger Bound". They're very cool! :)

Lovely!!

If I might ask, how did you do the red-lip effect? I've got an image I've been trying to do that to...

Thanks!!

Adding red lips or keeping them red while desaturating the rest? I suppose both techniques are pretty similar but it will help me be more specific for you.

On these I added the red but you can always outline the lips with the polygonal lasso tool (you do use PS don't you? if not, I'm not sure what tool you use.) Then copy and paste it on a new layer. Desaturate the layer below and you should be left with red lips.

Alternately (this is how I did it here) you could desaturate and then on a new layer paint the red onto the lips on a seperate layer and then set to overlay or soft light. I like this way best because I can play around with the color a bit more.

I hope that helps!! :)
