SO, after a short term saying in Dharamsala we where planning to go to Kashmir.
However everybody which whom we were speaking in no case recommended Kashmir due it's recent unstabile situation (for the last two week more than 20 people where killed, the city's life stopped and there is a constant curfew),- according to news and people words
Anyway we just couldn't miss such a great opportunity to see the real life and finally decided to try :-)
It was a long 7 hours drive first to Jammu (over day) and afterwards to Srinagar itself. People told we are insane to go there in the peak of all strikes but that was an adventure :-)
Road from Jammu to Srinagar lies between high mountains crossing gorgeous passes but unfortunately we didn't see all of this beauty cause by tiring night drive.
Approaching to Srinagar there start to show up more and more militaries along the road and finally we stucked in a jam. "No, way to Srinagar", people told. Situation is dangerous :-( But no way back for us so we used our Indian Supreme Court pass to convince the security that next day morning we have pleadings in Srinagar.
After 30 min of strong discussion first post was backward. On the way we have some more minor issues with a police and by 4 am we got to Dal Lake.
It as something to meet the sun in the middle of all of this beauty. Completely another world from the rest of India. It's truly Muslim and nothing reminds about last 3 months spent in might sub-continent
Our expectations where fulfilled more than enough and now we are enjoying the best place in India so far even though most people just don't come here caused by political situation.
Next on the way is Ladakh :-)
