Cartwheels in your honor

So technically I'm at work right now - lord bless work-off-site days - but since I'm currently suffering from a dearth of things to do (and bless that, too, since I can recover from the utter insanity that was November and December) I'm writing in this, instead.

Many many things are giving me Great Feelings of late. A list:
  1. My novel. Summed up ( Read more... )

flail!, writing: asoiaf, fandom: parks and rec, writing: discussion, writing: original, fandom: a song of ice and fire, lolz, wow i'm a nerd

STOP MAKING SUCH CUTE ENTRIES, it makes all my Ewok-Sithness (as the mentioned Mister Coats puts it) disappear instantly in a fit of "d'awwwws" and girly nerdishness. I also think you'll really love the area we'll be in, but I haven't been there since I was a kid, so it's also kind of a rediscovery for how awesome it is. I remember picking lots of apples and the like there, though.

The hands thing actually happens to me a lot, and all I can rec is putting Neosporn on what's bleeding and then rubbing strong lotion into the cracked parts :/ I'm sorry you have it, dear.

I was also looking into Parks and Recreation... but admittedly I was coming down from the "HAHA YES" bits brought up by your second point. I think if you made the Tagaryens a wealthy family ala the Rockefellers, perhaps...? But unless they were doing bad things I can't see how they'd be any more than background details. TEE HEE, that picture.

Good luck with your novel, as well! I know you'll gather your strength and edit it all very impressively.

I'm not trying to be cute, I just have Feelings... >.> and yes, I have heard much about the apples/apple pies in Julian, and am probably going to buy one for myself (and maybe Matt too, if he's good :P) while we're there.

The hands thing I've always had, but never to the extent that they actually bleed. Augh. I guess it's just been a particularly dry winter. But yes, lotion is my friend. As are you, for giving me lots and lots of it. :D

Parks and Rec is a really lovely show - though like I said, it took me the majority of the second season to get into it. And Matt didn't even show me the first season, because apparently it's crap, so if you give it a shot yourself I'd recommend skipping that, too. S3 is amazing. And Adam Scott's face is truly terrible. Oy.

Gathering strength as we speak! With the help of much tea and booze. XD See you tomorrow!!!

Novels are such useless bastards sponging off our life-force, aren't they? They never do what we want. I want to start revising some of my novels at some point, but I'd have no idea where to start. I think this year is a year for just fanfic and short stories.

I am thinking of checking out Scrivener as well.
