lameness.. someone got wind of my misfortune, and snagged up ALL the MR2 motors in the socal area.. maybe it's a just a coincidence.. but a bit too much of one for 3 motors to disappear in 1 afternoon, especially since 2 of those 3 have been sitting in the yards they're at for more than 6 months ( Read more... )

some suggestions for names... ex_foreveran44 October 23 2002, 11:15:53 UTC
1) Ikris (not sure of the actual spelling): after the greek myth of the boy who's father made him wings of wax. And told him not to fly too high or low. But he flew to close to the sun and the wax melted and then fell into the ocean. Kind of morbid, but it is suppose to teach you to listen to your parents.

2)Alarm Clock: As this nice bird, will probably be waking you up on a regular basis

3) Wright: After the wright brothers, the first people to build an airplane (from Ohio too!)

There you go.

While clever and unusual is the order of the day in naming pets, one must also consider the species. Thus, I unveil Meijin's Official List Of Bird Names:

Clem
Tex
Lou
Earl
Gus

"Is that it!?" I hear you ask.
Yes.

And here's why. How many times have you heard someone say the following sentence?:
"Yes, this is Clem, my macaw, and over there is Gus the parakeet."

Very few times, I would imagine.

(honestly, why that's a legitimate and valid reason, I don't know. However, someone with a cockatoo named Tex would instantly get bonus cool points.)

I still like my suggestion of "alarm clock"
Tex sounds like a name for a lizard.
