Simple little bookworm, buried underneath is the sexiest librarian

Pretty much since I went back to school, I've been planning on going to grad school to become a librarian. It's a job I could see myself really enjoying. It gave some sense of purpose to my "frivolous" English major, and I just heard a statistic today on NPR that something like 27% of recent grads with humanities majors are unemployed, so it was ( Read more... )

Have you thought about any other fields that also employ Library Science majors? Like archival or museum work? Granted, not quite the same, but it still might allow you to study what you love.

Hmm...somehow I missed your comment. Sorry!

That is definitely something I'd consider, though. I don't necessarily have my heart set on working in a public or academic library, so I think I'd really enjoy archival or museum work.
