As promised, I put up a video of Cupcake with her new toy on YouTube. Please ignore the very messy apartment. I blame it on the kittens (because they did knock a ton of stuff off the table) and Andy (because he's not here and I can). Also, ignore how funny I sound at the end, and focus on how cute Cupcake is :)

But that reminds me. I borrowed this book from the library, called "How to Get Your Cat to Do What You Want" or something. In one chapter, the author suggested talking back to your cat in what he called "kittyspeak"--basically meow back at them. But not only should you meow, you should tape-record their meows so you can copy them exactly, and try to decipher what each meow might mean, based on what was going on when they made them. I think the guy was a little nuts.
...Sorry to ramble, but you made me think of that, and I wanted to share, heh.

Sometimes I do meow back at her when she's being super whiny.

Does Isis have more of a squeaky meow, or does she actually whine when she's being whiny? Because Hiro loves to cry (usually when we have food), and it's this really drawn out, whiny little "meeoooooooooooow." Which is so fun to imitate, although he probably doesn't appreciate it. But our two girls are squeaky meow-ers, so I was just wondering if it might be a gender thing, or just a coincidence.
