It's been frustrating not being able to have her around more. We saw a lot more of her in canon, but here we have to wait for her encounters with Spike and Xander. I mean, I wouldn't want her for a next door neighbor or anything, but she is fun (in a crazy, dangerous way, of course) *g*
This was a vividly choreographed, exciting chapter. Glory was just as invulnerable as expected, though I'm sure it was a very nasty surprise for Buffy. Even though Spike had faced her and recounted his ass kicking, I bet Buffy thought she would do better. Oh, well, at least nothing died but the cobra.
Xander's really earning an enemy in Glory. He's been front and center taking away her toys and mucking up her plans. I bet Spike's going to have something to say about his boy putting himself in danger. Not that Xander will listen!
Xander doesn't even really know it yet, but he's really found the way to fight Glory - attack her from the edges. Spike and Buffy have both learned the hard way that head on attacks just don't work very well.
Giles winced at the reminder of his mistake and Ethan glared at Buffy for her lack of tact - which was good, since Ethan didn’t know the meaning of the word. XDDD
“So, weapons all around?” he asked, blithely ignoring Spike’s instant scowl and Buffy’s dubious look. “What?” he asked, spreading his hands innocently. “The woman’s all yours. I’m just going for the snake.” Go Xander! ^___^
Ethan had obviously had no intention of going until he saw Giles arming himself. He made a number of cutting remarks about substandard slayers and old men who didn’t have enough sense to leave fighting to the super powered - remarks which Giles ignored completely - before stalking over to the weapons chest and pulling out a crossbow. He straightened up, meeting Giles’ astonished stare with a sneer. “What? I’m twenty times more experienced with dark magic than you are, Ripper.” And Go Ethan! ;) God, I love this sarcastic bastard X3
The bolt landed dead center, tearing a small hole in the woman’s leather dress before bouncing off, not leaving so
( ... )
I thought the canon death scene for the snake was one of the worst in the entire series-completely fakey looking. So, I decided to find another way to kill the snake. *g*

I wondered how you were going to work Glory into the story.
I love the way you've reworked the story line but still stayed close to canon. It truly is "Nothing The Same"
Awaiting more:)
